Sophie Guyot builts its approach to textile design by querying the relationship between material, color and function. She learned in high school Diderot in Lyon and at Winchester University in England. She deepened tie and dye techniques with Mauritanian dyers, during a long trip to West Africa. Then, she trained in natural dyeing with Anne Rieger, a french master craftswoman dyer.

In her studio shop on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse in Lyon, she creates silks, ornaments and crafts textile objects in a contemporary style.

To complete her own production, sophie selected for the shop, some accessories "Made in France". Temporary exhibitions are also organized to present and defend the work of textile artists and craftsmen.

The studio also works with designers and institutional: textile design, fashion design, screen printing, dyeing, art direction. Sophie has taught since 2001 in different high school and conducts research workshops. She was awarded the Young Designers Contest of Ateliers d'art de France in 2004.
